This open forum explains how CMS calculates Contribution Rating Increases (CRI) and Contribution Awards (CA), including the use of target pay, employee basic pay, positive delta values, available funding, and alpha factors to determine employee award amounts. The session also reviewed CMS award settings and processing, including supervisory award funding, non-CCAS allocations, award proration, overrides, carryover decisions, and performance-based award checks. The session also addressed macro-enabled and macro-free CMS processing considerations, demonstrated workarounds for upload issues, and identified calculation defects affecting award-spending summaries that are being corrected.
