In this session, David Martinez (MIT Lincoln Laboratory Fellow) presents a systems engineering approach to frame AI evolution in three horizons of capability—from automation to human–AI co-creation; including Agentic AI. He demonstrates how architecture-first design, responsible AI principles, data conditioning, and a people-process-tools approach enables organizations to evolve AI from local AI experimentation into mission-aligned, AI-enabled systems at scale.
The session connects AI directly to acquisition realities showing how data, models, and human judgment must be orchestrated within existing frameworks such as requirements, test & evaluation, and lifecycle sustainment.
